The lift doors slid shut, and for the first time in an eternity, I didn't see a cold-blooded CEO in the mirrored walls. I saw a man who was actually breathing. My head rested against the cool metal of the elevator interior, and I couldn't stop the grin spreading across my face if I tried. I looked like a bloody schoolboy who'd just been asked to the prom.
